Dodge Charger leads the modern day muscle car era with the most powerful factory-built 4-door passenger car on the planet.

The five-passenger rear-drive 2015 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat harnesses 707 horsepower generated from a 6.2-liter supercharged HEMI V8 Hellcat engine.

Charger Hellcat is shipped straight from the assembly line to the showroom floor and buying public for a base price of $62,295.

Buyers also pay $995 for freight and a $1700 gas-guzzler tax.

Indeed.

At full throttle, Charger Hellcat will empty its 18.5 gallon fuel tank in 13 minutes.

The engine supercharger can entirely deplete the air from an 11-foot by 12-foot room in just 60 seconds and requires 80 horsepower to fuel its air-gulping intake.

With a prudent throttle, fuel economy of 22 miles per gallon on the highway is achieved. City mileage yields an underwhelming 13 mpg.
