Chrysler Group LLC is adding about 200 new full-time positions at its Jeep factory in Toledo because of growing demand for the Wrangler in the United States and Europe.

Last year was a record year for Jeep sales. More than 200,000 Wranglers rolled off the assembly line in Toledo. And Fiat-Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne has made Jeep a major focus of his global expansion plan.

To help keep up, Chrysler said it will add approximately 130 workers on the main assembly line and another 70 in the plant's paint shop. Most of the jobs will be filled by existing temporary or part-time employees, but the Auburn Hills automaker expects to make about 75 new hires.
