AAPC Statement in Support of Portman-Stabenow Amendment Addressing Currency Manipulation

Washington, D.C. – American Automotive Policy Council President Governor Matt Blunt today issued the following statement in support of a bipartisan amendment offered by Senators Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Debbie Stabenow (D-Mich.) to the Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) bill:

“AAPC strongly supports the Portman-Stabenow amendment which addresses a very significant trade barrier that U.S. automakers face in the marketplace.  We continue to work with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to include strong and enforceable currency manipulation language in all future trade agreements."

The American Automotive Policy Council (AAPC) represents the common public policy interests of its member companies – FCA US, Ford Motor Company and General Motors Company.
