General Motors has finally allowed us to get some wheel time in the new 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, which is featured in the newest episode of Ignition. And as a bonus, host Carlos Lago produced a special video where he geeks out on almost every aspect of the special Corvette.
The Ignition episode starts off with a barrage of instrumented tests at the track. The car used here was a 2016 Corvette Z06 with the seven-speed manual transmission and a stage 2 aerodynamic kit. A total of three aero kits can be had with the coupe. This test car is also fitted with the Z07 package that includes sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires and impressive carbon ceramic brakes. Those items helped the Z06 stop from 60 mph in just 91 feet.
